I am not sure I follow. What does it matter - if you work for Nuance?

Nuance is laying off everyone anyway. They are two separate companies. Why couldn't you work for both? Besides, you never know how long a company will last these days. Applying for an MT job is a risk no matter how you look at it. Walmart pays $11.50 in my city with benefits.
