plus decreased base pay rate discourages researching. Researching has always been my favorite part of the job, but with the stringent requirements set by my MTSO, that is now considered a luxury. I rarely ask here for work-related help mainly because answers are not forthcoming before finishing the report, but I have done so simply because spending more time looking stuff up would be detrimental to my line count, and, no, I refuse to clock out while researching.
Out of curiosity, do you also think us older MTs who worked in offices were dumbed down because we would hand our headsets to our cubicle neighbor to listen to a word/phrase we couldn't get? Perhaps you think we were lazy and not trying hard enough?
