I enjoyed the tips from "fool me twice" as well, I didn't see anything nasty or negative in any of this. The people who can manage with their house at 59 degrees are tougher than I am. I live in a climate where the temps drop below zero in winter and in addition to liking to be toasty we also have to be careful about pipes freezing. It gets hot here in the summer but I don't use the A/C much, and prefer the fresh air. I'm 63 and forget to ask for senior discounts, I've noticed hardly anyone offers voluntarily. At my haircutters it's a dollar off or something so it's hardly worth it.
