Unemployment and Nuance - Hobbyhorse

Trying to understand. Applied for unemployment, but not able to receive because made "too much money" last week, which was from the 8-26 pay period plus the 1 day worked extra for the next pay period, the Monday b4 layoff, so technically only 1 day worked this week, but the whole pay counted towards this week. So no unemployment. Still have not received severance. I sure hope it comes in 1 lump sum as if they spread it out over pay periods, will not receive unemployment for a month. Wondering if by laying off some india employees if that will have any effect towards TAA decision. Has anyone done TAA? Does it take money away from the unemployment u would receive or is it on top of the unemployment?
