You will be hard-pressed to find ANYONE working in (clinical) medical who doesn't seek humor to relieve stress. I'm talking surgeons while the patient is under anesthesia, MEs performing autopsies, pathologists in the lab, etc. The same, of course, goes for nurses.

It's a stress reliever, and people need to get over it. Those "outlets" are how people deal with the stressful and unpleasant aspects of their jobs.

We MTs are clerical rather than clinical and don't know how easy we have it in that regard.
