Same thing happened to me. Good at first and then the head QA, MB, acted like I was on trial constantly. Constant picking, back and forth, okay per one QA, not the other, Low, low pay, never satisfied. Tons of demo rules to follow for no pay. Was told I had to make so many lines and then if work ran out on weekend, tough luck, do it during the week. Then when work was not available, was still supposed to meet quota. I wrote a one sentence resignation and oh, was that a great feeling. They want perfection but can't even keep their company afloat. I stepped up my other freelance work and feel much better!!! In all honestly, it was that one hammering new QA person that did it for me.
