Whether she made a "mistake" or it was out and out fraud, which I'm inclined to believe it was the later, it was still put out there and employees worked in good faith believing they were going to be compensated. Nuance OWES you that money. They can suck it up and write off that "mistake" expense to their own stupidity but they CANNOT shuffle this onto the employees that they misled.
This is NOT a done deal. They OWE this money to the employees they misled. No buts about it.
