MTs, you have only gotten better at your job as the years rolled by.
It's the JOB ITSELF that has gotten worse. The dictation quality is worse, often the recording quality is worse, and the pressure to produce an inordinate amount of work per hour has gotten worse.
That's bad enough, right? But then factor in all the stumbling blocks these asinine companies throw in our way: Job descriptions that are ridiculously long "War-and-Peace" tomes. Which change almost daily, of course! Ridiculous rules, and even more ridiculous EXCEPTIONS to those same rules. Which you of course are expected to remember for multiple accounts, right off the top of your head. If you have to look something up, your pay gets dinged or you get put on probation.
Then add fatigue and stress from having to work longer and longer hours, with hardly any rest breaks, for a pittance that doesn't even guarantee you can keep a roof over your head. It's lunacy.
Just never forget: It's NOT you, it's THEM.
