everybody knows that if you work in a hospital holiday coverage should be rotated, but if you work at home NOBODY should be forced to work holidays. I did for a short time, but refuse to work them now. If you take that threat your employer threw at you "work or else" and drove that far, then that is on YOU, not the OP. If my employer did that to me I would walk out right then and there...nobody has to do what they don't want to and they shouldn't be ashamed to NOT work holidays.
