Thanks to all who answered my question. My problem is I CANNOT afford on this low income an accountant/someone to prepare taxes. I have not made much money and have only been IC for 2 months (2017) I am just calling the IRS to see what to do. I talked to someone yesterday and they gave me some good information. I think for me it is going to be very simple. I am drawing unemployment and they are taking out at my request taxes right now, fed and state and have sent that in, so main question is what to do with the tax remaining to pay. My checks are so low, I doubt if much will be owed.
