now that you will be an IC, you'll also be paying the employers part of the employment taxes, in addition to submitting your other estimated taxes to the IRS on a quarterly basis (see IRS website on how to do that)and not getting paid for template lines, so the MTSO should be paying you a slightly higher line rate. You probably should be asking for a raise in your line rate to compensate for the extra taxes you'll be paying and the loss of the templated lines. It's up to you...accept the 0.07 you are getting or ask for 0.08 or 0.085 and see what they say. Ultimately, the choice is yours, and this is just a suggestion; but 0.07 is pretty low for IC pay.
