my layoff date was 8/31 because of Nuance stealing the account I was on.
I actually got my pay direct deposited for the first pay period in August and the second pay period in August ending 8/31, plus my unused PTO, on September 3, which was very, very fast. Some others on this site mentioned getting theirs the next week anywhere from 9/6 to 9/9. They did a very good job of getting our pay out to us quickly. This new layoff probably has a lot more employees to deal with; but based on how quickly they got checks out to us for my layoff, I don't think there will be a problem. They were an excellent company to work for, so it's too bad that Nuance/Screwance probably had them over a barrel and they had no other choice. You'll probably have your pay sometime next week, in my opinion.
