MTs being discriminated against because of what state they work in.
My best guess is that there is no case here. Employers can discriminate, there are only a few protected groups of people, such as race, age, etc. So my best guess is that there is no case. It would be a huge risk too. I suspect if you accept the severance, you are agreeing to the terms of separation and so if one were to try to sue, that money would be lost and there is no guarantee that one would win the case. It is likely in the best interests of the MTs involved to take the money and run, but of course, only those affected can make the determination for themselves.
