I agree. You will never see men in an office huddled whispering to each other about another man or a woman. I, too, have worked with both groups, and I can tell you that I TRUST men ahead of women any day when it comes to not talking about me behind my back or sniveling to their spouse about me when they get home.
Yes, I've certainly had the dismissive type of attitude delivered to me by men, but I know for sure he is what he is to my face, not whispering about me behind my back. They call that 2-faced, and it's women who tend to do that. I honestly don't because it shows low character. I have a hard time not gossiping about someone, even if it's the truth, but I'm controlling myself there, too.
