I am 60, been an MT for about 36 years and have had no problems finding work. I am currently working for 2 companies, both straight typing and scheduled to go part-time next week with another company also straight typing. All of these jobs are IC and I basically work when I want to work. One thing I would suggest, is "looking outside of the box." There are MT groups on social media sites and that is how I found the job that I am supposed to start next week.
