Because new MTs are only on 100% QA for so long, then they are let loose. They are then subject to the same audits as everyone else, and they are under the same blank limitations as the rest of us. Meaning QA at that point is not always going to catch their errors, not to mention the newbie doesn't get the help they actually need, especially if they are being discouraged from leaving blanks, which, as we all know, we all are, regardless of experience level.
So, absolutely I agree that MMEs need to be experienced, but there is no question MModal benefits from holding onto their MTs who are experienced since the work will go directly to the client. If the newbie's mistakes aren't caught on an audit, and only a handful of reports actually get audited for most of us, they will just be sent in as is.
