They definitely overhired. Over the last couple months, in just our group, they probably hired over 10 people. Just in the last couple weeks, many of them have come off initial 100% review. While QAing the work, it seems that most were fresh out of school as many of the reports they did were full of errors and/or blanks for things many seasoned MTs would know. Unfortunately, some, I feel, were taken off 100% way too soon, which is why the quality went down the toilet even more so.
In any case, this freed up a lot of SHDAs, on top of the new hires getting up to speed, on top of the gradual increase of work being sent overseas, making less work for everyone and quality worse.
