Hope you don't mind another person jumping in here. I did go through the Marketplace (Obamacare) this year since I went PT and started SS. It's not as cheap as through work, but with the exemptions due to lower salary I have about the same coverage as with MM for just under $200 a month--for just me as a single person. That is about twice what I paid with MM coverage. All of the other insurances were so expensive. I continued dental and vision through Cobra as it was reasonable (about $32 a month for both) and that can continue for up to 18 months before I have to look elsewhere for dental and vision coverage.
