We are told the reports pulled for audits are random. Okay, maybe... however, I think they have set certain parameters as to which reports will be in the group that it pulls from.
All reports of mine pulled are speech rec. No actual reports I have typed. So if SR makes an error and we don't catch it... they got you.
Then I have had no really long reports pulled. I do acute care and some of those consults/etc. are pretty long. The closest was about a 68 line report and that was a very rare instance. Usually they are around 20-40 lines. So if there is an error BANG ... they got you.
If you challenge an error ---- ding, ding, ding... The bells go off and you are audited with a frenzy.
Also, how do we know if all the reports audited are counted. Perhaps they pull 5 and all 5 are 100%. Can they just delete 2 or 3 of those and look for more reports that might be more fruitful to them?
I know they want us to drink the Kool-Aid and we are repeatedly told these audits are random. Hard to laugh when your mouth is full of Kool-Aid isn't it?
Grumped enough for now. Thanks for letting me vent.
