It's the brain distracting, mind numbing SR. Our brains just can't be as engaged with the patient's story because editing involves so much of our brain function that I think our brains start to fragment and splinter off until as we go along from SR job to SR job we just no longer find the task at hand very interesting or even worthy of our intellectual minds. We start to feel like we're merely here to clean up the same messes over and over again instead of providing a finished work of art when all is said and done!
