Subject: BOOST Initiative June/July Update

MModal Standard Header with box
Greetings All M*Modal Employees,

In May, we reintroduced the BOOST Initiative to make sure our employees know -- what it is, why we are doing it, what we have accomplished, and what is coming up next.

What it is: The BOOST Initiative is an on-going, company-wide program intended to improve efficiency and productivity through improved platform tools, enhanced training for our employees and driving client compliance with prescribed best practices.

Why we are doing it: The BOOST Initiative is focused on improving our ability to deliver transcription services with the beneficiaries of the improvements intended to be the MT/MME, the Customer, and the Company.

What have we accomplished? June/July 2012 Update:

Supportive Training: Because we have different challenges and different logistical dynamics, the mentoring programs for North America and India are designed to have different focus areas and different methods for implementation. In India, mentoring occurs in groups rather than one on one, and the primary focus in on enhancing productivity. In North America, mentoring occurs individually and the primary focus is on reducing inactive time.

North America We mentored approximately 800 MTs Year to Date (YTD), June.
We are experiencing, on average, a 30% reduction in inactive time of mentored employees, leading to an average hourly rate increase of 16% for mentored employees.

The program feedback from MTs continues to be very positive. We have 184 MTs on the waiting list to participate in the program, and we are working to ensure that all interested MTs get an opportunity to be mentored.

We mentored 302 MTs YTD, June. By focusing on proficiency mentoring (short cuts, etc.) in India, we are experiencing, on average, a 7% productivity improvement in NLpH of mentored MTs for June. This is great progress toward our 8% target.

Audio/Draft Quality Improvements

Cornerstone 7 is in General Availability (GA); Cornerstone 7.1 rolled out for GA during early July and now features platform enhancements including improved ADT Search, Results Columns View so that Scroll to Right is not as necessary, ability to create shortcuts to allow for Search against Text within Client Profile, and added ADT Physicians to Default Search Results when using Physician Search.

During July, we also rolled out similar enhancements to our Fluency for Transcription platform (formerly, DEP), and we will have evidence of impact to report on in our next update.

Client Compliance/Standardization

Educated the sales team on messaging the concept with customers. We can consistently speak to the client about how the adoption of the structured model will yield higher quality drafts and ultimately better patient care. This effort toward client compliance is a win win for the customer/patient and for our MTs.

Spotlight training/mentoring result from an MME in our mentoring program:

"My paycheck went from $680 to $813 after just part of a week after the mentoring session! That's take home pay!"

What's next with BOOST? You will see continued platform enhancements to the speech engine, the release of new M*Modal materials to our customers communicating best practices to our physicians, and compliance monitoring to engage with directly with our customers to improve compliance to best practices.
