Having a critical error isn't the one and only reason you get put on PM. They take into account your overall score as well as the types of errors you make and your past audit scores. You can also be put on PM for production issues, nothing at all related to quality, or for both production and quality. Maybe since they have never mentioned PM to you, it means you are not the worst HDS they have on the team:)
