MM does not give employee references at all. You may be able to get your manager to personally vouch for you. I do not know if they can, but you certainly should not give out their contact information without their permission.
MM's policy is not to give out employee "references." They will only do employee verification. My current employer told me that when they have contacted MM for this verification they are asked to supply a credit card for a $15 charge just to verify that you worked there. Most will not pay it.
