Help please! Coding vs transcription? - Thinking about coding.

Are there any coders out there who used to work as acute care transcriptionists? Did you find the work you did as an MT helped prepare you to become a coder? Do you feel one is more challenging than the other? Thank you so much for reading this. I will be truly grateful for any replies.
