probably 99% of the MTSOs are misusing ICs. This is to their advantage, not yours. They don't have to pay benefits, Fed/state taxes, or social security on you, you foot that whole bill. That money stays in their pockets. As you know, many MTSOs have also decided to pay IC the same or close to the same as employees and also require the same diligence, i.e., schedule, line count, etc. This is outrageous. I do not work as an IC and any job ad I come across that is IC, I skip! Anyone working as IC should at LEAST look at the SS-8 form on irs.gov. As long as people in this field allow the MTSOs, and sometimes in-house too, to treat us like a sweat shop, they will, while THEY pocket the money we work hard for!
