the difference in line rates offered between employee and IC equals the SS/M paid. Take the lower line rate with "TTS paying the taxes" or take the higher line rate and pay it all yourself all up front; there is no difference, MT pays for it either way. Just another scam employers get away with. Another case of who's flavor of crap are you willing to swallow, it will go down your throat either way.
