She is doing her own research. She's asking those who have been in the trenches about which companies are good to work for.
The "bad" companies certainly are not going to tell her that everyone can't stand them and that they're horrible to work for...
The other option is to go to a place like glassdoor.com. There, people share their experiences with all sorts of companies--MT and non-MT--good or bad. Keep in mind, that people are most likely to post when they've had a bad experience, but it doesn't mean people don't post about their good experiences.
Good luck, and pay no attention to the mean people here. You have every right to "research" on here. It's probably the only site where you'll find a whole bunch of us in "one room" to ask a question.
