The article said that the starting pay is almost $17/hour for an MT. First of all, there is no such thing as a "starting pay" because there will never be a raise and the amount per hour is obviously wrong. The article also said among the equipment needed is "maybe an earpiece." Maybe? Of course, you need headphone or earpiece. Another thing it says is that some employers require certification course, but once you take the course, you can work as an MT for many years to come. This is the kind of article that encourages more newbies to put money into training for something that will realistically pay about minimum wage. Annoying.
