First, it is not a tool of the devil. My facility uses it and I have a job as a QA editor. We have a mix of providers who use templates, some who use VR and some who straight dictate. We outsource transcription and would have done that anyway, but our MTs are now working in other Epic related jobs, it actually created some new positions, especially for IT analysts. It is an all inclusive EMR and contrary to what you may think, the reason behind it was not to eliminate your job. You could be using your skills in other ways, some of us learned how to go with the flow.
