A poster named Meh recommended a headset made by Panasonic called RP-HT21. I was skeptical, but bought a pair for five bucks on Amazon and they are amazing! They are the best I have ever had. Everything is crystal clear. I do not have to boost sound with these and can hear everything very clearly, even with ESLs. Not sure if these would help you, but for five dollars, it's worth a try. (I then bought four more pair--the limit Amazon will sell is five to one person--to keep and to give as gifts to other MTs.) Happy holidays!
