Here is what I would say; No where in the new Best Practices guidelines does it state ANYWHERE to change the ADT physician name that comes in as a question mark. IN FACT, there is a whole section about NOT using the ADT data base if the physician name comes in WITH a question mark. Now, if this was supposed to be the practice to change these MDs names, then why, why is there a whole section about what to do when there is a question mark?? Again, a fine line here. Another task we are just supposed to "know" to do. Where is this in writing I would ask.
