I generally do not think Nuance is any worse than any of the other major companies. My opinion is that you speech wreck is pretty much it and that the field is fading away. Most of the time my pay is better than it was before and I do like the weekend differential.

I have had to change accounts multiple times, though. Once the account was off-shored, the next the account went completely to EPIC and the account after that was over-staffed so I learned a new account and a new platform. If I am asked to move accounts again, I will turn in my 2-week notice, especially since there is no longer a new-account differential. So far, I have not worked on my secondary yet, either. If that becomes necessary, then I am likely to quit as well as the account specs are significantly different and screwing up on an unfamiliar account is like to drop my FIESA score. When that happens, I would prefer to put my energy into other things than this job and will just find a way to make the budget work. I only renew my Shorthand license in 3 month increments right now, as I anticipate some day I will just have enough of this. If this job was necessary for my family to eat, then I would absolutely be looking for something else as it does not seem sustainable for the long-haul.
