I know I won't make their quota. I imagine they're hearing that a lot, or have already had resignations turned in. it doesn't matter if the work picks up - there are so many variables that slow us down. I think the supervisors know that, too. But they have to pitch the party line or get booted. It's just like working at the hospital - you get some yahoo in administration who has NEVER done any menial work in their life, knows absolutely nothing about the job and can't even type, but has a bunch of fancy degrees and thinks he/she knows more about your job than you do and is going to tell you "do this, or you're out."
