So, get some successes of your own, if you haven't already, and talk about them to encourage others who are just starting out.

The truth is, the AHIMA course doesn't qualify students to sit for the CCS exam. It's a great course, but that's not what it's intended to do. It's coding basics, not advanced-level coding. It's not supposed to be. So, no, graduates with no experience who take the AHIMA course don't take the CCS because they aren't eligible for it. Community colleges teach at the CCA level for the most part, so no, they are not passing the CCS exam. That's not the goal of those courses, so that isn't an insult to them. They give an overview of coding. It is not intended to be advanced-level coding. If it were, they would say so, and they would say that it is intended to prepare you for the CCS, but they don't, because it isn't.

The bottom line is, get your own successes and talk about them. If you can't or just don't want to, leave it to those who have had successes, to encourage others to make the right training decisions and to encourage them further while they are in training, to let them know how great it is once they've accomplished their training goals, credentials, employment tests, jobs. We all remember first starting out considering training options. Then we also remember going through that very tough training at the school we aren't allowed to name because it offends you, and someone comes along to tell us what it's like on the other side --- CCS success! Ability to pass employment tests and be hired! Great job! Good salary! Savings! Promotion potential! Enjoying life!
