As has been reiterated by other MTs many times, it's not always so easy to just switch jobs (paycheck-to-paycheck, only breadwinner with no financial backup, near retirement, etc.). I qualify in all 3 areas thanks to no child support for over 10 years. I do agree that the grid sucks though; I'm about to add a part-time weekend MT job to my already jam-packed week due to the drop in pay I incur occasionally, simply for being human and making one error out of many, many perfect reports. Yes, we're definitely being screwed over by Nuance.
