Ask current employer to be a reference? - rain

Posted: Jun 30th, 2015 - 8:35 pm

I have an interview for a FT job in an office with employee status. I currently work PT as an IC. It used to be FT, but the work is drying up. The place I'm interviewing wants current references related to medical records. I can't use references from my life pre-MT. The only job I've had as an MT or in medical records is with my current company. Would you just be honest with your current employer and tell them you're interviewing and ask them to be a reference?
