NUANCE ONCOLOGY ACCOUNTS - Anon2

Posted: Feb 13, 2015

Anyone currently work on or have in the past worked on Nuance's Hem/Oncology accounts, and if so, could you please tell me how bad or good the dictators are, is there always works, etc.?

Thanks so much! I need as much info as possible before I even go there!!

I do hem/onc at Nuance.... - hp

....and GI, general surgery, OB/GYN, ER, cardiology, neurology, orthopedics...etc....all of them--all specialties, all work types---on 6 different accounts with who knows how many MDs.

I don't know who anyone does one specialty anymore--and I had worked in an oncology office before I took this job.

you're not going to get a specialty at Nuance - sm

Pretty sure there is no hiring for clinic or ambulatory specialty accounts anymore. Most clinics have gone to EHR or offshore. If you work at Nuance, you're going to get stuck in the acute trenches with the rest of us bottom feeders.

In other words: Steer clear.

Thanks so much for the feedback about Nuance, but why do they keep calling me wanting me to work for them? They've apparently seen my resume because they've told me so, although I have NO clue how they got it, and want me to work for them even though my ONLY experience is in clinical Hem/Onc! I have never done Acute Care or worked in a hospital, so what's the deal with them if they're not going to give me a specialty? That's makes no sense to me at all!

Because they are hiring newbies and those q - with little to no experience since they

have run off their seasoned MLS with their new exciting payscale. They are looking for newbies who don't care they are working for extremely low line rates and not knowing week to week what they'll be making. Don't fall for it.
No Newbie Here! - Anon2

I am by NO means a "newbie" MT. Have been in this business over 25 years, but always worked for Oncology clinics and docs, owned my own transcription company at one time and have been in Management as well! They can see all this on my resume, so I won't be "thrown into the trenches" and especially not for some lowly cpl wage! Thanks for the heads up!
Unfortunately, you will - anon

They're desperate for MTs because it has gotten so bad. The fact that they are approaching MTs instead of the other way around is a red flag. There are company-wide policies regarding the low pay. They have some kind of convoluted system. Also, although you have one specialty, they'll expect you to be able to handle any account, any specialty, and that is the work you will get. On top of that, if you send to QA/ask too many questions, they'll also dock your pay. It's a terrible system. Read through the Nuance board.
NOT GOING THERE! - Anon2

Definitely NOT the place for me!!

I would demand to know where they've seen your resume - because that would really P me off SM

to find out my resume was out somewhere for all to see and especially if I didnt put it out anywhere.

This is creepy, especially from Nothingance.

Accounts- Nuance

I am trying to find a company to work for that leaves you basically on one account or maybe two. Does Nuance do it this way? What about 100% QA until you get used to your account? It seems that not only the pay has gone down in this profession but also the stress has gone up. ...
