Good Luck Q-friends!!!

Too many exceptions......sm - anon

They made the rules so strict there's only a few lucky people who might win, anyway.

whacha talking about - too many rules?

[ In Reply To ..]
Everyone should be entered because they are the same rules that we always have to adhere to... production, quality, submission rate, schedule.

How do you stay working here if you dont comply with these anyway?
Well, one thing's for sure.. - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
You can't adhere to production requirements when you don't have the work.

Friendly competition is fine, but when you have some employees with more work than they can handle, and others who are running out on a daily basis, it's not exactly a FAIR competition, is it?

Why do so many stay working here?

OVERSTAFFING.
If they clock out when NJA - Should not be a problem
[ In Reply To ..]
If I'm scheduled an hour make 300 lines, obviously that's 300 lph. If I'm scheduled an hour, make 150 lines for a half hour, then have to clock out for NJA for the second half hour, that's still 300 lph according to my time sheet. As long as you clock out on NJA and make sure to get a ticket number for the NJA as proof, you still qualify.
Thank you for that info. - I appreciate it.
[ In Reply To ..]
That's all fine and good. I still think it stinks, though, that you have to be a lucky drawing winner in order to receive any token of appreciation for MT week. Just my 2 cents.
It's still sad that - emptyweek
[ In Reply To ..]
even if everyone did qualify, only 2.5% - 5% of the MTs will win a cheap door prize and the rest get nothing but an email. At least they let us down gradually - after last year's useless mouse pad, I'm not really eager to get an individual thank you anyway. It wouldn't bug me so much if I hadn't been around back when MT Week was great.

Yeah the winnings might put me up into the low - income bracket

Where do you go to enter the drawing? - mt

[ In Reply To ..]
I didn't get a link for the drawings in my e-mail, and I can't find anything on MQ Central about MT week. Am I the only one?

Me too - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
I didn't get any instructions either and can't find it on MQ Central anywhere. I even called support and they had no idea what I was talking about. This is totally disorganized.

you are automatically entered - if you comply with

[ In Reply To ..]
schedule, quality above 98%, submissions below 5%, and line rate quota. They are picking several people each day and posting them the next day, so todays winners will be posted somewhere tomorrow... maybe another e-mail???
Thank you - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I went back and re-read the e-mail and see that now! At least we won't have to work for the prizes now although they were kind of fun. Good luck to you!

At least they remembered. - nm

a handwritten card in the mail from my CCM. I thought that was nice. She's a good one.

So did I - CA-MT

[ In Reply To ..]
I lucked out with this CCM. Can you imagine choosing to write over 80 thank you notes by hand? It isn't money (which would have been appreciated more ;>> ) but I can still really appreciate what it took to write to me and sign it. Pretty cool. I hate what MQ has become, and pretty much the whole job, but this little gesture gives me a bit more motivation to keep working.

Saturday night, you know the night when we are understaffed, we need commitments for people to work extra, blah, blah, blah, and I am OOW.  I am no stranger to transcription and generally expect things to be slow on Christmas Day but to be out of work now, this does not bode well for the week.   ...

Jan 23, 2013

Okay, here I go again.  Time to start my shift and NJA.  This is the second day in a row this week for me.  Guess I will again be working second shift out of necessity and not choice.  Looking for a second job but don't know how that is going to work since right now I do not have a "set" schedule with M-Modal.  When I looked at my W-2, in the last 3 years my income has gone down by 1/2.  OUCH!  Where is that magic genie?  Where is that winning l ...

Seriously, Some People Do 300 LPH On ASR? Oh Yeah Sm
Mar 24, 2011

I pride myself on using ALL tools given us.  I have ALWAYS been diligent in making my reports as perfect as possible.  I ALWAYS researched terms new and not known, looking up old reports to help on unfamiliar hospitals and doctors.  If I could transcribe (old term type) my reports I could easily do 300-500 lph, but I CANNOT get any of this type of work.  I get 98% ASR.  Lately it has become more than stupid!!!   Entire wrong terms are entered when the doctor is ...

Employee Survey - Yeah, Right
Dec 10, 2012

Just got the survey email.  What a joke! The Senior Executive Team (SET) and I are deeply committed to improving the M*Modal employee experience and culture, and to do that successfully, we need to receive candid feedback from everyone.... it's that critical and that valuable to understand the employee perspective as completely as possible -- across geographies and across functions -- so that we can become the best place to work in the industry. ...

Goodbye Nuance. And Oh Yeah. You Can SUCK IT. Sm
Oct 21, 2012

I am writing this email to inform you that tonight will be my last night with Nuance Transcription Services. Over my many years in the workforce, I must say this is the first resignation letter I have penned without any sense of melancholy fondness for the job I am leaving behind. No, instead, it is a feeling of liberation from "time served." For the past 7 months, I have put in my time here at Nuance, suffered through many countless hours of horrible voice recognition files, made next to ...

May 17, 2010

To all you wonderful MTs working and slaving your lives away, Happy MT Week.  I appreciate you.  I appreciate your kindness when I have a rant or a rave, when I'm at my wits end with the constant changing around of clients, client profiles and the never ending dings being thrown at me. Good grief. I did not change the way I edit. It so depends on how many commas they think you should have. Yes, I made an unusual (for me) mistake last week, but the rest of passing an audit is dumb luck of whether you get a realistic auditor or Ms English wannabe. Everybody must be under pressure because of the cesspool as I see a lot of mistakes when I look up past reports to help with these mush mouths and accents. The time czar wants schedule changes, but I see no problems with turna ...

Oct 20, 2010

If so, what information do you log?  I keep a log of Job ID, dictator name, wt, and character count per report.  I'm wondering how much my logging time cuts into my productivity.  Especially, recording the character count because I have to go into document properties and write that down.  I do that because there is no way for the MT to check her line count herself and our team lead to give us our daily line counts.  So I like to make sure everything jives, if ...
