Pretty much confirming what you already have on your application/resume. The person I talked to had absolutely no information for me, just read off questions like he was going down a form and checking them off.
Good luck.
Thank you very much. - myka

I am nervous, as I have not interviewed in 18 years! Did not know if I would need any reference materials handy or not! Thanks again!
I have a phone interview for a transcription job coming up soon. I was just wondering if anyone knows what the interview will consist of and if anyone has any tips. ...
I have not had an interview in probably 17 years and I am freaking out. It is for a Transcription Specialist position, which is basically the customer service person in the transcription department, coordinates workflow, administrative suppor to the manager, and clerical support to the transcription and central scheduling areas.
What kind of questions are asked on phone interveiws? I am assuming the phone interview is to first hear if I have a pleasant phone voice, which I am pretty sure I do ...
Hi,
I have not had a phone interview in six years. I was laid off in September and finally got a response to my resume. Anyway what questions should I make sure I ask. In an email that was sent to me I know the hours, the pay and that it is an IC position. This company found my resume on a board that I posted in 2010. I don't want to name the company yet. I have never heard of them.
Thanks in advance.

about the rate of pay. It is ridiculously low as it is and they said they were implementing higher pay. I have been here 3 months now and no changes. On top of that, they charge us to work for them!! I am going to tell them what I think of this. I have nothing to lose!!! ...
I left MM a few weeks ago and today got a call. They asked lots of questions about how satisfied or unsatisfied I was with MM and I answered them all as honestly as I could. When they asked if I thought any of their practices were illegal or unethical...I told them that hiring people to work for you and then expecting them to use their PTO or go without pay when there was not enough work was extremely unethical. Especially when you have many MTs with NJA daily and others with mandatory OT someti ...
I am thinking about switching my current phone line and going with a bundle deal for our second house. Does Dictaphone C-phone work through a cable phone line? I still have the copper wiring at my primary home because I was afraid to switch it so didn't include the phone service in our cable package there. Thanks!

Anyone know if the C-phone will work with a digital phone line ? (I think it's also called a VOiP line). I'm moving to a new place that has a digital line & don't know if I should have a regular phone line installed instead.
Thanks for any help. ...
Hi, I applied for a job at MModal. I am only looking for part-time work to help supplement some of my income. I also work for another company subcontracting. Can anyone tell me what to expect as far as how they contact you, how long, etc.? Thanks in advance. ...
very long reports coming in about 10 minutes before we are about to finish for the day, which will force us to either do, causing us to stay over, or opt out of, which will leave time which we then will have to make up at their approval. There's always torture involved with just doing our job. It's like industrial terrorism.

After 20 years of hospital-based HIM transcription, they gave us away to Medquist. I feel set up for failure by not getting consistent hospital accounts and never having a chance to learn a specific account. Communication with management is - absent - unless they want something from you. I also find the pay and line count methodology to be deplorable, to say the least. I have VR experience, but find that Medquist just turns on literally EVERYTHING to VR, and most of it re ...

These MTSOs just expect way too much out of someone just APPLYING for a job these days that it has caused me to not even apply anymore. I need work, but I suppose I don't need it enough to be willing to jump through all of the hoops that they require. The MT testing site has been aggravating enough, to take so much time on a test, not even knowing if you will get a call back, even if you DO pass. Lately, like the past 3 jobs I have looked into, their testing process was IN ...
Over the 6 years I've been with them, have only gotten a half-penny/line raise once! That was after the first year...never again since and my accuracy has been above the required 98%, usually 100%....GREEDY COMPANY! ...
I just set up an interview for an in-house job. Problem is, I've only worked from home, so I'm really not sure what to expect. It is for a rural hospital district. My experience is with medium to large multispecialty clinic accounts. The HM manager said it was transcription, including radiology, as well as acting as assistant to her, which makes me think it might be more clerk work than transcription.
I'm wondering if there are any questions I should ask m ...

How can one company expect an IC to be full-time? Isn't this a contradiction? I mean, how can you be an IC and work for only one company? Or, does this mean that you should have more than one job and work more than full-time? ...
