I am in north region and ran out of work before 3 p.m. I am always told to change my schedule. I have worked 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. for 8 years and cannot change my schedule permanently. This sucks.

Is it possible to apply for unemployment with work this slow? I am full time tier 2, thinking of testing up but not sure if work will be any better. Have not had work hardly since first of year. North region. what is going on? When I ask do not get a straight answer. Cannot continue to go on like this. May have to look for another job.

I don't think state makes a difference. I live in california. If you make less now than you did before, you can get unemployment. The lack of work is no fault of your own. They take your wages from six months back and average and then six months back from that so your benefit is calculated on an average of a year. On the reason you are seeking u/e just put lack of work because work outsourced. You can calculate your wages in ultipro.

I'm a tier 3 and no work (North region) used to work 10P to 6 am (ran out of work; changed to 5P to 1am running out of work. Where is the work? i agree, you ask and you get no answer.

I was on mandatory OT for about 9 months. Every day, not only Fridays. Every flippin day. Now, I have had 5 hours of work this week. DO NOT CLAIM TO THE PEOPLE ON THIS BOARD THAT THIS IS NORMAL WORK FLOW! You have no darned clue what normal work flow is until you have worked in my region previous to the shifting of work overseas.

I have no clue where you get your information, but the clinics in our region dont even start dictatating till later in the day on Mondays. Mondays are so slow.

Additionally, most people work Tues through Sat and Sun through Thurs, so where you get there are less people scheduled on Mondays and Fridays is beyond me.

and it never ceases to amaze me how out of context people take posts and then argue with them. I suppose sometimes it is hard to follow a conversation through on here, but people often argue on here about what they think is being said versus what really is being said. I have read countless articles today that state that the reason that so much MT work is being outsourced is b/c there are lack of MTs on the US side working in the industry. According to the Escript, I'm doing an average of 300 lph on VR but usually at the end of 8 hours, I don't top 1100 liines most days. On Dictaphone's ExSpeech, i used to consistently do 1800-2400 a day on a combination. MM was laying off a lot of PT MTs. I accepted that since I have always passed their ridiculous 98% (and higher) audits and always worked my shift, etc. So no reason to fire me. However, I've been wondering if the real reason (since I see there are still PT MTs here) is that they don't want any employees from California (or any other state where the minimum wage is too high in their eyes). I normally work nights and get the worst dictators and horrid ASR. Of course, the worst dictators are usually the low man on the totem pole and get the worst coverage.
