I am trying to find out what MTs are bringing home biweekly with voice recognition full time and part time. I am also trying to determine which company, TTS or Nuance, to go with. I have been reading more bad comments on Nuance but rarely anything on TTS other than they may get bought out from Nuance or are affiliated with Nuance. Information will help me greatly! Having read the posts regarding unknown pay, I totally agree. This first rollout week, I had 2 reports audited, just got lucky. So, if next week I have an audit 'fail' their new patient safety thing, then my pay goes below minimum wage for that week. Aside from the fact that we will be re-reading every report for any 'minor' errors that are now major errors under the new system. Nuance will end up paying overtime to get the work done within TAT. I keep reading posts about companies that pay 5 or 6 cpl for VR but where are these companies posting their job ads? I have 13 years of experience as an MT and my hands are sore and ache with all of the straight typing. I would love to make 5 or 6 cpl for VR not 3 or 4 cpl for VR!!!!!! So if they have horrible accounts and you can edit only 250 lines an hour then you're making $7.50 an hour? Or even 300 lines an hour then you're making 9 bucks an hour? Is this a joke?! ...

I thought they were 2 different services. Everyone is buying out everyone, so who knows. All the small companies have been merged I guess. I thought Nuance was out of New York and were the primary with VR. Maybe one has to keep up with the changes and be a member and pay the dues and go to the meetings with AAMT and be a CMT to keep up with the changes, even though you still get 4 cents. ...
