I applied, tested for and passed for the Accentus STARTeam position. I received a call from HR for the first interview and went on to a second interview with who would be my transcrition manager within hours of the first interview. I was on the phone with her for over an hour. She was very excited about my experience and told me I would be a great fit. It was very clear that she thought I would be a valuable addition to her team and the interview went very, very well. She told me to call her back if I had any further questions I wanted to ask about the job/team. I was expecting an offer letter, but a week has gone by and I still haven't heard anything. I have sent an email to HR and put in a call there this morning but still sit wandering what is going on. Anyone have similar hiring experience with them? I was SO excited about this job and how the interviews went and how fast the process was moving, and now I am left hanging!

They could be still processing your paperwork or something similar. My experience is that the paperwork through the channels is the most challenging. I would call the woman who said call her if you have any questions if you have not already tried this. Good luck.

Number one, usually, if it is a "SWAT Team, or whatever type" of position, they hire from within first. Been there, done that. It is QA, it is knowing EVERY account down to the millisecond. It's switching accounts when no work is available in another. Possibly someone else was better qualified and if you are relatively new, it could be a "blessing in disguise."

I specifically applied for the STARTeam and that is what I interviewed for. I am also aware of what kind of work will be expected of me as far as the demanding workload. I enjoy the challenge and want to be the best at what I do, so I actually think it will work well for me. I am looking forward to it. Actually anon was right. Got an email from the HR manager today that the HR person I was dealing with was no longer with the company and they were trying to track down all of the people they needed to contact. I should be hearing from him to finish up the hiring process tomorrow. Just happy I finally know what was up. Persistence pays off! = )

I think you're a bit confused. You cannot join the STAR team until you've been at Accentus a minimum of 60 days. You have to maintain a certain LPH for both straight transcription and editing, as well as what percentage you send to QA, and they would have no way to gauge that until you're there and working. They do have a Fast Track which is no less than 60 days. Likely you're going to get an account and they'll go from there.

Hi, I am an old MT but new to working at home. Didn't know beans about any company, but have gotten hired by a company that (as I found out on these forums) apparently overhires. so - today I got my QA - 97.97%. deal is it's now the 3rd one below 98%.. with the tagline that came out a few months ago that if you get a 3rd QA below 98% you'll be fired. a job does come up. I get all excited! You would have thought I won the lottery or something. I open up Schedulesource and clock in. I get into the report. Notice it is an ASR (kinda bummed, but it is a job, right?) and low and behold, it is a cancelled dictation worth 8 seconds. Doctor says, "cancel this dictation" and before you know it, I am punching out of Schedulesource and did not make 1 penny. Bummer! Did not win the lottery. Hahahah ...

I have a question about the NJA policy. On the 15 minutes downtime you get for waiting for jobs, is this just once a day or as many times as you do it in a day. For instance, if you wait for 15 minutes and no work and then come back in an hour and work a while and then no jobs do you get the 15 minutes again and so on. Thanks. ...
