Is Synernet changing accounts on us again? - Tired tired tired

Is it just me, or are the accounts being messed with AGAIN? I haven't gotten much work on my primary in a while and I'm just sick of switching back and forth, every other report to different accounts and reviewing the specs, get that in my head and then voila! the next report is yet another account and then I have to hunt those specs up. So sick of this profession. I can't wait to get out of it!!!

I have constant new doctors from note to note now. Mostly foreign speaking. Work I've never seen before. Really long, slow speakers too. Bad dictators skipped through from earlier in the day. VR is a joke, as I have to change most lines and put in even periods. Now with 6 mandatory hours a week it's really getting hard to make lines when you have to look up doctors' old notes to see what they're saying, and specs. Really hate my job anymore. Just venting and my opinion. If not yours, lucky you.

and list things that should have been listed. Even when it does list the items, the numbers are all screwed up. And with most systems I have used, if you insert a period at the end, it automatically capitalizes the first letter of the next word, but not this beastly system.

they take us off training pay for VR and put us on .04 a line for this junk. I see my paycheck dwindling rapidly. I have worked on another VR system before so can compare and this system sucks big time. I made pretty good lines on the other system. Never going to happen with this one. Think I will be just wiping out the whole note and typing it instead a lot. Of course, then I only get .04 a line for straight typing too. Now 6 hours mandatory OT a week all summer. Getting really discouraged. Can't win. Other places are pretty much the same though. Probably time to go.

and then do everything they can do change it. First the work pools, then the VR (which is totally substandard compared to any other system I have used, although I admit I hate the whole thing), and now some people are getting the "joy" of getting EVERY account thrown at them. I am not sure if there is an award for the company that treats their employees with less and less concern, but if so, I'd nominate Synernet.

IF you are not one of their pets, TL will make sure you make no money and they have seriously gone down the s*it hole since about this time in 2012. When I started with them, they were encouraging, helpful and I was able to make money. At the end of 2013, they went to hell in a hand basket. One of the seven deadly sins...GREED.

They definitely are not the same company they used to be a couple of years ago. Like you, I used to be able to make a very decent living there, but now I struggle to make even half of what I used to. TL and the rest of management do not care at all about the MTs. It really is sad.

All I see they have done by arranging the accounts into "Pools" as they have done is make it more difficult to keep the jobs moving out more quickly. Do they not realize by throwing in accounts and account types we are not used to, it means having to spend 5 minutes or more reviewing the account specs, looking up sample reports and then having to hunt for doctor's names we are not famliar with, not to mention certain terminology we are not used to? I used to work for a company who would give each MT the work they were good at and very rarely was work ever behind, and if it was it wasn't for long. I personally think they need to clean house in management and get someone in there who knows how to distribute work and keep the workers motivated enough to WANT to put in extra time. I am truly exhausted, my family is tired of me having to spend my 2 days off doing overtime. I just can't do it during the week because I have children and I also have an ill relative I check on each day. But, I know that this will be through summer and this winter we will all be fighting for scraps. So frustrated. :(

I prefer a certain work type, because I can be sure then that they will send me TONS of the things I hate, and very few of the things I enjoy. Like you, it seems counterproductive. I hate mandatory anything and especially hate this OT, but I accept it since there is nothing I can do to change it. Overall, I still think this is the best employee-type company, but that is not saying much considering they all are pretty awful. I stay because of the insurance and the earned time benefits. I tried to keep an open mind about the VR, but it is perhaps the worst I have encountered. I have not noticed any "learning" at all.

I have been applying and studying the "online transcription world" for about 2 months, so I realize I have am a neophyte. BUT-it seems to me that what is happening here is a huge waste of time and money. I always thought it was optional to spell out 1st, 2nd, or 3rd per AAMT BOS so now I will go look for it. I am so frustrated though because not only do I get paid less on ASR but it takes longer to do it! My accounts have to be put into standards and the dictators sure as heck do NOT dictate it that way! I recently discovered that another employee has been making changes to transcription that carries my initials along side the doctor's initials, which indicates me as the transcriptionist. I was switched to new accounts back in March, a group of long-term subacute hospitals with the same name and locations all over the country. HIGH HIGH ESL. Most of the notes barely 30 seconds long, if that. They are the worst money accounts possible with more time spent on ADT than typing because the notes are so short. I work for Medscribe right now and just had to take a pay cut (gasp)! I am seriously thinking about changing jobs but I have been here for 5 years and hate to lose my PTO accrual rate and great schedule. So, progressive part time anyone? Obviously, the PTO accrual (which is pretty pitiful even at full strength) is way less, but when you have to keep using all your PTO anyway to make up the paycheck and your lph goes down because of that, what's the point of that?
