Has anyone ever taken their testing on line? I just did and I thought I did well until at the end of the last page and when submitting test it said otherwise. I did not meet their criteria. I would love to know what my score was. Would I have to contact the company to get the score? I have been through QA with many some outsource companies and have over 32+ years exp and currently have a QA score on the average of 99 to 100 percent on some very difficult ESL docs too and I average 100 percent on regular work types. I guess it is time for me to retire the books to the shelves. That was very discouraging too.

Many other people have questioned how these "graded tests" by companies are done. Don't beat yourself up. You probably did fine. Bet if you took the same test for them again tomorrow with the same answers it would have passed with flying colors.

You are not alone in this boat, many have had similar things happen and they often then refer you to their sponsor, the MT school.

I agree with "testing bah humbug" statement. I have also not passed some of these tests and then referred to their MT school online. I have 25 years experience and I felt that some of these tests are graded by the overseas outsourced people just like the majority of our jobs have gone. India is probably grading the tests as well! HAHAHAHA! I wouldn't doubt it one bit!

I have taken many tests online and I always get in touch with the company so I can see what I missed so I don't do it a second time.

And some companies told me that they can't tell me what I missed. One was even snippy to me in an email and told me "I will not tell you what you missed". Wow, I was shocked when I received that email because I thought transcription was all about a learning experience. I wouldn't recommend JGL to anyone because of that horrible experience just when taking a test with them! They were rude. Never in my life have I been talked to like that, especially from a company that is supposed to be professional. I think they are crap!

Transform experience for me was the same thing, went through a lot of tests, phone calls, etc. and then they did not hire me and said I made too many mistakes...yet on the test while taking it you have to pass each section in order to go to the next, and I went through them all. First interview I was told I did great, but in the end, they told me a different story. There was another company that I had a similar experience with as well, believe it was Transolutions, and it took them over 3 months to tell me why. I won't even mention the errors in their emails :/

I have over 30 years of experience and I too just tested over the weekend for Breitner. I have a question about these tests. Have you ever had to leave blanks on the tests. I do not believe in guessing and I was presented with dictation that required me to leave a blank(s)? Will I automatically fail.

Has anyone here attempted the Breitner testing? This company certainly searched high and low to find the absolute hardest reports for their testing. I am familiar with the terminology on both reports as I have done genetic reports and am familiar with these words. What do you think about the catheterization report on testing for Breitner? I have done probably hundreds of these reports and know the terminology -- that is not the problem. I know they are testing our ESL skill too with this guy -- very bad dictator. Did anyone have trouble with sound quality and getting the foot pedal to work? I think this along with very bad dictator just did me in. I have heard they are not too great to work for though. Maybe it is good that I could not do the test, ...

I am so upset right now. I went on line to take an on-line transcription test. There was a little voice file, and the instructions said not to hit the tab to take the test unless you could hear the voice file. I could hear it just fine. I hit the tab to start the test, and my foot pedal would not work to where I could reverse the voice file, etc. I doubt they will let me retake it. I really wanted this job. Anyone else ever have this happen to them? ...

Every job I get looks like it has been rejected by 50 people and the jobs are always day-old terrible stuff by people who don't know how to dictate. I wouldn't wish this work on anyone. Anyone else who is applying or already applied at Breitner? Anyone work there or previously worked there? I see they use MT Test for their testing. I did the application but have not started the actual testing yet. Gosh it would be so nice to just have to transcribe one sound file! Wishful thinking! That's not gonna happen I'm sure. I accepted an offer of employment from Breitner. The same day, I received an email request for a phone interview from Amphion. I replied to Amphion, stating I had accepted the other job. They just emailed me back with a stated pay rate that is 1 and 2 cpl (typing and VR) more than the other job. Can anyone give me ideas on how each company is to work for?
