What is up here? My account manager sent out an update via e-mail at 8:30 a.m. then a little while later there is an e-mail forwarded from the president of the company that she is no longer with ATSI and another person is now the manager over ALL the accounts. After switching to speech recognition about a month ago their biggest account has been out of TAT almost daily and is in jeopardy of being lost to another service. I'm glad I gave my notice.

Picture The Apprentice...major job task fails, someone is held responsible and gets the boot so everyone else can shake in theirs and pull it together to save the account. Obviously she did not see it coming and it just took place.

I think that is a crappy way to run a business That you start work one day and an hour into your shift you are terminated I know this person not only from this job but from another job as well and she is one of the best supervisors I have ever had She didnt deserve this

It probably isn't fair, I don't know as not one of theirs - but if it were me, I'd rather hear it 1 hour into the day, rather than having the upper crust know and let be toil all day first....if there is a positive to it all, which there is not.

done in a certain amount of time, it will repool the job to someone else, even if you have typed it. You can IM someone and let them know you're about to lose it and ask that they make sure you don't (if you can find someone working). I just think this is one of the worst systems I have ever worked on. I love word, but this stupid Expedite MT World crap just takes the cake. They don't even have the ability to send a cc to the person dictating the job. You have to do that yourself on every frigging report. Wouldn't be so bad, but you cannot just put the names in a normal and then cc them at the bottom, no, you have to pull up a box, make sure you click into the box and then do a search by their name. God forbid you're not right where the cc needs to go as this will put the name into the document where you last sat. Okay, I'm done. I'm regretting having taken this job.

When I first started working there I did alright as far as $$ and getting good work The supervisors changed but the new account manager was someone I had known previously Now practically everyone who is in charge has been there even less time than I have. Also they have switched to speech recognition with a worse program than even what you are describing I understand the frustration about getting jobs repooled but they do give you up to 2 hours for non-stats and 90 minutes for a stat. Also if you keep your e-mail open while working you get a 1st 2nd and 3rd notice that the job is getting ready to time out.

say 20 minutes or longer and then another lengthy job, the last job has been held while waiting on the first job, then the last job is starting to get e-mails telling you it is going to repool the job. It is just nerve racking to have to get those repeated messages. Also, if no one is around for you to ask them to make sure you don't lose the job, you could possibly lose the job. It is just insane in my opinion. They should fire the people who don't actually want to work and quit punishing the people who do.

I understand it in this scenario I didn't really have a problem with it transcribing radiology I don't know how it will work in SR I think if you sign up for IC status then you should have flexibility in your schedule since you are not getting the benefits of employee status BTW I don't know many people at this company who are employees
what I know about this is 90 days IC and then have to, sm - meet their requirements

of 1000 lines a day to become an employee. I agree though, the schedule thing sucks, especially with having to put in a request for time off. Even if you want to take an hour to do something,you have to fill out this request for time off sheet. I personally find it all too much. Not to mention I think their system sucks, too.

Offered a job at 0.825 cents, but they have an incentive program. If you take the incentive program the pay starts at 0.8 cents a line for the first 10,000 lines typed, 10,001-15,000 lines 0.85 cents, 15,001-20,000 lines 0.9 cents, 20,001-25,000 lines 0.95 cents. It makes no sense to start your incentive pay at a lower line rate for the first 10,000 lines than what you would be making for taking just the line rate. I guess they don't give the incentive unless you chose to take it. If you type 15,000 lines at 0.825 cents a line, you make $1237.5. If you take the incentive starting at 0.8 cents a line for first 10,000 and 0.85 cents for the next 4999 lines and do 15,000 lines, you make $1224.91, where is the incentive in that???? Why not just start at the rate you were offered on hire and then go up from there? They don't do that.

I have offers from both TTS and ATSI.  One is IC for 90 days then option for employee, the other is employee from first day.  Pay and work and hours are all the same.  I can't find much recent on ATSI, and see some comments about TTS overhiring and work being scarce.   Any input?  I am trying to decide by Friday.  Thanks! ...

Does anyone have any experiences, either positive or negative, to share?  Do they provide equipment?  What platform do they use for radiology?  I've already tested with them and they want to set up an interview, so I'm trying to make sure I cover all my bases before I leave a company I've been with for nearly 10 years. ATSI is a bad company to work for.  When hiring on they tell you 0.08 cpl then after about 2 weeks they switch you to a company called Oracle that you sign a contract with stating 0.075 cpl.  When I got my second paycheck I noticed money was missing.  When questioned about it they said that they pay per report 1.50 at the most.  NO ONE EVER mentioned this to me at all.  When I started throwing a fit about it as I signed a contract for 0.075 cpl they came up with some lam ...

ATSI Nonpayment Of Wages

This is just a warning message to hopefully prevent other MTs from going through my experience.  ATSI still owes me three paychecks, which were repeatedly promised to be paid day after day, week after week, then we were informed they legally had to pay by August the 8th.  Most of us have still not been paid.  I just learned that David Shepherd and his wife, Terry, also control M T World.  I am now employed elsewhere, but it will take months to undo the damage this company did ...

I would really like to know who comes up with these stupid programs that are supposed to benefit the transcriptionist.  This MT World program (you work in word) is just stupid in my opinion.  You have a box that comes up, then you have to check the schedule and select the date of visit, then you have to push a button to okay all this stuff, then you get into your report and you still yet have to hit another key to update the page so that it brings the demongraphics onto the page, then ...

A recruiter recently emailed me and stated in her email "After the minimumlines per day is satisfied for 3 consecutive periods as well as the 90 days you will be offered employee status and benefits".  What does that mean?  What does a consecutive period consist of - pay periods?  Annual quarters?  (and please don't tell me to "ask the recruiter" - I have to go through extensive testing before she'll communicate with me again and I want to know if its worth it).
