You definitely dodged a bullet and I am glad you did and happy for anyone else who did not make that trip to Virginia. It is truly an awful place to work. You can see the changes they have made over the last few years in the sample reports where it seemingly was okay to type the actual words "the patient" into a chart when it was dictated amongst other things, like actually typing the word "normal" properly. Literally, that is how petty they are. It was once okay to even type in complete sentences much more so than now. They have set a new low in perfecting taking from the pockets of their MTs at who knows what additional costs. I know of one MT who asked a medical professional in her family if she understood the abbreviations and other half thoughts in an example she made and presented to her. She did not understand most of what she read without a key. Who would want their chart to be that difficult to understand as it traveled in their permanent medical record?
