My facility just merged with a hospital system to our south. They currently do not use Epic AND outsource. My facility just informed us the merged company will be merging to Epic and they will continue to outsource. No shock to me, but I think many of my coworkers were thinking we’d get their work. When you cannot compete with cost per line of outsourcing they won’t be coming back in house and pay MORE when the bottom line is saving money. So. When we went to Epic we lost 75% of our volume. Facility to the south of my state who gets said outsourced account? Be forwarned. That account will be taking a big hit.
