Pay rate in AUD is once you're a Senior MT and out of the training phases:
VR 8 cpl
ST 13.5 cpl
plus 5% production bonus for 12,000 or more per month (bonus paid on all lines produced and the 12,000 lines can be a mix of VR & ST).
With the bonus, after the currency conversion, that comes to about:
VR 6.25 cpl
ST 10.5 cpl
Right now the exchange rate sucks but it's still a better deal than anything domestically. Plus they really do leave you alone to do your work and it really is an IC position - you choose your work hours every 2 weeks.
