They do tend to assume you want MT, even though on my resume I put at the top: Seeking opportunities other than medical transcription (or words to that effect). It's like they glaze over it. However, I did have several non-MT job offers once I got my foot in the door for a one-on-one personal interview. Not sure what's going wrong for you, but good luck to you.
