All of these companies are doing the same thing. They don't want employees, only IC, because they are not liable for anything that way; no PTO, no UE, no incentive and/or weekend differential, etc. Just sit and work until you can't work anymore for 4 cpl. I am currently working as an IC at 4 cpl and I cannot believe how low my paycheck is, especially when I see how many reports I transcribed. I have a feeling by the time everything is cut out, like headers, spaces, etc., I am probably making 3 cpl. The other company I work for is the same rate, but the pay seems a bit more fair, but not that great either.
These companies are just robbing us!
